We offer immersive learning experiences to identify strengths and interests, help students build confidence, and gain a sense of direction.

We teach the visually impaired how to use the type of cooking method they have in their own home.

Participants are provided instruction in learning to read and write Braille.

It is possible to learn to use your computer. Learning the keyboard is the first step and we can show you how!

We provide instruction on how to use a white cane properly and how to navigate our school campus.

Every Thursday morning we have "Learning to Live With Vision Loss Support Group". Family and friends are invited to participate in this important discussion on living with vision loss.

The Inland Empire Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. is a place where adults who are visually impaired can receive training to overcome the disabling effects of blindness. It’s a place where they can prepare themselves to resume a full and normal life.

Our services are available free of charge, regardless of age, race, creed, color or gender. The only qualification is that a member receiving service be legally blind and have the capability to participate in a classroom setting.

Our programs, classes, and activities enrich, train and educate visually impaired people in our service area, as well as the public, about the tremendous potential, normalcy, independence and joy possible for those living with challenges in their eyesight.

Since our establishment, our goal has been to address the growing needs of the blind community in the Inland Empire.

All classes, instruction, materials, meals, transportation and referral services are provided at no charge to the totally and legally blind. The Lighthouse is a privately funded charity. Our primary means of support emanates from donations, grants, fundraising, wills, trusts and estates.
