This is an internationally recognized masterpiece of the American Arts and Crafts movement, built in 1908 for David and Mary Gamble of the Procter and Gamble Company. It is the most complete and original example of the work of architects Charles and Henry Greene.
There are several types of tours available, including a 45-minute tour for children and their caregivers, a 1-hour guided tour of the gardens and exterior, a 1-hour guided tour of the house, a 2-1/2 hour docent-led tour with a flashlight, and specialty tours focused on craftsmanship, design, and more.
Tours are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays through Sundays. Advance reservations are recommended. Free parking is available on Westmoreland Place, with additional parking options on Orange Grove Boulevard and West Walnut Street. Please note parking restrictions and do not park in certain areas.
There are several special events offered, including yoga with goats, Story Time for families, wine and live music on the lawn, and crafting meetups for needle crafts. There is also a book club that explores perspectives around architecture.
