This park features a Bandshell / Stage, Community Center, Playground, Mobile Skate Park, Picnic Area / Barbeque Pits, Restrooms, Volleyball Court, Play Equipment, Sports Field, Fitness Loops, and a Dog park.
You can participate in Youth Recreation, Adult Classes, Senior Programs, Senior Fitness Classes, and visit the Skate Park and Farmers Market.
The original portion of the park was donated in 1903, and it was known as Alamitos Park. After annexation, it was renamed in 1907. Over the years, the park has undergone several improvements, including the construction of a speakers platform in 1928, and the addition of a recreation building in 1965.
This park has hosted many events, including state picnics, with the most famous being the Iowa picnic. It has also hosted events during World Trade Week.
