    Tavis Baker: In the time I have trained at REKM, what has struck me most is how efficiently the classes are conducted, the emphasis being on establishing foundational technique, which intuitively undergirds more advanced forms designed for maximum efficacy. Sensei Elghanayan is a strict but fair teacher, training his students to better themselves generally, while also preparing them for potentially life-threatening situations. If he and his staff demand much from their students, it is because in truly desperate situations, one's opponent will not show kindness or restraint. The training may at times prove challenging, but therein lies the sense of accomplishment and camaraderie to be found in the course work. Sensei Elghanayan's instruction is not for the faint of heart, but comes with the implicit understanding that we are all of us human; the goal however, is to become something more than that.
