    Karen Brach: Paul Koretz has been an outstanding government official for many years. He’s bright, caring, and often thinks in terms of long-run concerns, I.e. the environment. He has high standards for himself and others. He’s good at getting the right experts in place to make sure the job is well done. He also is supported by a wide variety of groups, because they all know he truly cares about all people.

From climate change to protecting animals to finding ways for the city to save money, Paul has been an all-around fantastic councilman!

    Dale Kendall: I'm a resident and landlord in CD5 and am grateful for all Councilmember Paul Koretz has done for the area. He and his office always take my calls and concerns giving me meetings when necessary. From homelessness to historic preservation to safety Councilmember Koretz cares about my concerns and hears me with an open mind for problem solving.

    Nicole Miner: Paul Koretz and staff hold the best council office of all in all the decades i’ve lived in Council District 5. Councilmember Koretz and every one of the staff have consistently been competent, knowledgeable, attentive to the needs of various communities within the District. They are very helpful, they understand the problems and they address each one. Couldn’t ask for better representation. They are the best. And by the way, Paul Koretz needs to be City Controller, it’s a must. His competition has a bias against police and holds other values against those “main line” constituents of LA.

    Robin Greenberg: As a neighborhood participant to the fullest of my ability, I have looked to Paul Koretz for advice, support, knowledge and help. He has always been there for me and for my neighborhood. My favorite Paul Koretz story is when I was installed as the President of the then Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors in December of 2010, Paul and Gail came to the installation, sat in on the installation for hours, and never made a move to leave to go somewhere else. They were there for the long run. I will never forget it.

The office is responsive, they return phone calls and emails.He has gone beyond the call to protect affordable rental housing in his district from developers who only want to make a quick buck by evicting long time residents to build luxury buildings. Koretz has added police patrols when it was needed, put in stop signs, traffic lights, and speed bumps. These are not exciting thing, but they are the things that make CD5 a nice place to live.Most of all, he is a decent human being.I have been involved with the local community for seven years, and I'm glad he is my Councilmember.
