Jesse Berkin: Atlas House is one of the best choices imo for a sober living environment on the westside. They are involved in both Refuge Recovery and 12 step models to recovery from addiction. Dave, the owner is great and truly cares about his clients. Friendly staff and not overly strict. The house itself is beautiful, situated in a nice, convenient part of the westside. I find that the price is set right for the services they provide, and recommend Atlas House to those looking for a sober living.
Nicole Callahan: Having come from an all female detox and freshly processing an enormous amount of grief, I was overwhelmed in general upon my arrival to Atlas House. I knew I was going to be in a co-ed living situation and that was extremely frightening to me.I was going through paper work with the owner and house manager and burst into tears. I still wasn't "okay" with emotional expression but these two guys comforted, soothed and talked me through my meltdown.This is not my first rodeo and my preconceived notions about a sober co-ed living situation, ESPECIALLY as a female survivor of trauma, were gently addressed and then put aside.I love the involvement in Dharma Punx combined with 12 step programs. The owner and staff work together to provide a COMPASSIONATE and RESPECTFUL environment.As a person who is serious about her recovery, I appreciate the diplomacy of the house and the quick and responsible addressing of other clients who may relapse or display negative behavior.Yes, there are great amenities as well. A swimming pool, multiple common areas and spacious private areas as well as completely seperate bath and restrooms provide a great living experience.Welcome home, if you are ready to move on from addiction. Atlas house is by far the best, the quality of living and the staff on site are second to none. If you are serious about your sobriety and want a safe and therapeutic environment then Atlas house is you place.
