Leigh Bantivoglio: Had my birthday lunch there and was completely amazed by how great everything is! What a secret gem! The menu is a mix of traditional foods with an edge...the flavors are so fresh and unexpected! The drinks are really fun, especially the cocktail that is a purple color-a MUST HAVE! The waiter was so attentive and really recommended key dishes that we shared because the portions are quiet large! And love the romantic and intimate, cozy courtyard....felt like France! Def going back 100% and would recommend to anyone! Great date place or fun girls lunch!

Rob Warner: This is the best restaurant in Westwood and the only place we'll go to before the Geffen. Make sure to request the garden or bar area or they'll put you upstairs and it's a bit weird. Start with a Vesper martini and the get the Salad Mizou and warm baguette. They have half glasses which is great to pair with the duck and the chicken. DO NOT SKIP THE CHICKEN. Might be the best chicken in LA. Too much sweetness in the cracked toffee stuff they put on the chocolate mouse but otherwise delicious. Service can be a bit leisurely which is nice unless you're in a rush so just let them know and they'll accommodate you. Manish Butte: Delicious meal, easily one of the best restaurants in Westwood. French themed, high quality and memorable, with mostly meat-based dishes but there are a few items for vegetarians. Great service, including nice touches like gratis sparkling water. Great decor and cozy. It's a loud place so you'll need to take that into account or ask for a quiet table if that's needed. Street parking, usually not hard to find in Westwood.
John Rotella: Atmosphere was amazing. Almost felt like you were in a movie. The place so much charm and style. Food was excellent. We started with several salads which were some of the best I have ever tasted. We all ordered the Salmon and they were cooked to perfection. All 5 of us had nothing but 5 star reviews after our meal from the ambiance to service to presentation to quality and quantity. Violet Bistro will be seeing us again and again.

First the most important stuff: the food is excellent especially the pork chop special. french onion soup is also good. the service was excellent as well. the most offputting thing about this place was the smell. i don't know how to describe it, but it smells like a bathroom that's been cleaned with really pungent chemical cleaner. i dunno. this is something i don't complain about very often, so it's hard to put into words. that shouldn't deter you from eating here since it didn't seem to be a problem for the rest of the diners, and i stuck it out until the end.
I am a huge fan of French Bistros in general so was happy to find this one in Eagle Rock. A casual bistro with great service and food honestly always sounds good to me. Parking is easy as there is tons of neighborhood and street parking available, the menu has a good selection of items and our server was very polite. I started off the meal with a personal favorite of mine, French Onion soup, and it really hit the spot on a cold December night. I usually like a darker roux, almost brown, whereas this is a lighter broth but still a very nice taste to it. Followed up with the flamed filet mignon with Roquefort and it was delicious. It was cooked very well and the cheese was a new change for me with steak, but was an easy sell to me since I love cheese. A really all around delightful meal. Century S: To be fair we haven't tried anything besides their crossiant and coffee yet. We however really enjoyed our morning hangout here. Their coffee, butter and chocolate crossiants were good. I loved their ambience. It makes you want to go back. I can't wait to go back and have their crepes. Our friend from the group tried their strawberry crepe and really liked it.Parking is tricky and limited. We got lucky even though we went on Sunday morning.
Adam Federman: It is amazing for locals on this side of Playa Del Rey to have fresh croissants daily and coffee. This business has worked really hard to stay open since arriving shortly after the pandemic and has great food, friendly young staff and atmosphere. They make a mistake with an order here or there sometimes, but it鈥檚 not a big deal and my partner and I love walking down here for some baked goods and coffee and appreciate everything the spot offers.

Raddo Raddo: First time here. Apparently this place is a chain. Came for my friends birthday. Nice vibe here, laid back. I think we had 2 servers, one who took our order and one who delivered it to our table? Order taker was very curt and unfriendly but the server was amazing and nice. I had the steak fries and the steak was delicious and super tender! My friend had the mushroom pasta and said it was good as well. Portions sizes are just about right, not too big and not too small. Overall I would return again as I want to try something else off their menu and I do recommend this place to those who like French food to give this place a try.
