El Segundo Dog Park: what do users think?

B Meighan: were sweet & playful! Five stars for me!Dog-friendliness: Very friendly dogs!

Robin Way: Good

Juan Benito: Love taking my dogs and enjoying them round around.

Susan Totaro: My daughter's dog and I get a great work out here which is about half the size of a tennis court and gated separately for small and large dogs. The water fountain is located only in the SM section. The dogs are friendly, assorted sizes and playful. My dog loves to fetch tennis balls and learned today to catch the ball while jumping up in the air.Playground: Grass and sand on a slight slope with trees providing shade, two seating benches and water fountain with low flow just enough to fill a dog bowl.Restrooms: None on site.Dog-friendliness: EXCELLENT!

Dustin Stewart: Hate to give this place less than 5 stars because it’s great that it exists. That being said, it’s got to be the most underfunded large dog park of all time. It’s completely dirt with very little shade. The summer months are tough. I think revitalizing this dog park would do so much to increase the attractiveness of living in this area. Seems like the old heads don’t want that though.

Frederic Page: Nice dog park by LAX, ideally located as I was waiting for my partner to land and waited there with my doggies. You can see planes after take off and the dogs and people in the small park were friendly and nice.

Adrian Shaw: It’s a really big and wide open dog park. Everyone there seems nice with their dogs. The entire park is dirt though. Don’t bring your clean dog here. I always take my dog right before he needs a bath. I wish there were more trees there for shade purposes. But a great experience.

Kurt Rose: My dogs enjoyed the park. The fence needs some repairs around the entrance to the small dog area. There is also a corner of the fence that is easily jumpable, even for small dogs!

hi hi: Fun park for 🐕 to run plenty of space.

Pedro Gomez: That place is nice there it is

Claire: Very nice dog park. Separate area for large and small dogs. Gus Gus had a great time - met a dog that could have been his brother! Ran around and played - friendly dogs and owners

Chucky: Ugh! AMAZING! How else could I describe this place. The dog owners were so incredibly welcoming. I got knocked over by three playful dogs, and immediately, a handsome man walked over to check on me. All I could do was laugh at the experience. My dogs had a blast running around with other huskies, and the chihuahua had fun also. He made sure to warn the big dogs that he wasn't a chew toy! 🤣

Eduardo Maristany: Really awesome dog park that is kept super clean. The fact that it’s mostly turf instead of dirt or gravel like most other dog parks is a game changer. The water feature that runs through the middle is also a hit with our dogs.

True: ❤️Let's all keep it that way

Attila Newman: Great place to have some doggie time 😉

Alex Franco: If you are looking for a place for your dogs to interact with others, this place is perfect, it is completely closed, there are balls and water bags for after pupu.Playground: Play area for small childrenRestrooms: If there are bathroomsDog-friendliness: Clearly separated these small areas for dogs to play and interact. If you are looking for a friendly place this is a perfect place.

Ryne Dillon: My favorite dog park on the Westside! First time visiting; it’s so clean and has an artistic flair, with a turf covered bluffs, quality and plentiful shade seating and a wooden art sculpture that hangs over top. Not to mention the water trough system that flows throughout the entire park…love this place and so did my pups!Playground: Child’s playground is just next doorRestrooms: Plenty of clean public restrooms nearbyDog-friendliness: It’s a dog park…for dogs.Picnic area: It’s SoCal…bring a blanket and have a meal.

celeste delgado: My pup loveesssss it here, by far her most favorite dog park i wish it was closer to me. it has 2 large areas one for larger dogs, and the other for the smaller dogs! it has a cool water fountain trail lol the dogs love it!!! all the dogs are super friendly, and there’s rarely any dog fights (:

Maria Gough: Two large lots, one for big dogs and another for smaller, shyer dogs. Right off of the 5 for East access.Restrooms: Porta potty on-site, but for actual bathrooms you'd have to visit the baseball field which is about a 5 min walk away.

Emilie Ramos: I took my dog here for the first time. She had so much fun. There was lots of space to run around toys at the park, and all the dogs were so friendly.

Lulu Alas: It's not too crowded, and it has public tennis balls and toys for your dog to use.

Vinessa Ansah: My dogs love this park. I'm just tired of people with big dogs using a small dog section

Mark Rayes: and the left side what i can only assume as for big dogs and social dogs.Dog had a Blast Running around chasing others and being chased.had no issues with any potential aggressive dogs, at least none that i saw.Dog-friendliness: Water spigot for easily filling up your dogs water bowl.Lot of friendly dogs on my visitDirt Floor, making easier cleanup of ... well poolots of natural Shade from the Trees

Brad Weinfeld: Everyone is super nice, dogs and owners. The dog walkers do a great job with their dogs and help the others if there is a behavior problemDog-friendliness: Super nice dogs and owners

Marla Bingham: A very spacious park for dogs off leach.

Sarah Tamez: One of the best dog parks I've taken my dog to. Plenty of shade, free parking and lots of softer dirt to run on.Restrooms: They have a porta-potty and a porta-sink. So there's an option.Dog-friendliness: Lots of pups come here at any given time. Both big and small sides. There's definitely peak times. 11a-1p normally is good, but during the summer it's best to try coming during early or late cool hours. Never really seen a fight here, it's mostly just wrestle-loving pups that trigger some people into feeling like it's violence. It's just play, all good boys and girls here!Picnic area: There's plenty of picnic table spots plus benches but rules say you're not supposed to bring food or treats in. And yeah, some pups will sniff it out. Snack at your own risk.

Jeffrey (Jeff90046): I've been taking my dogs here since 1995. Unfortunately because of the drought in California it's not all grass anymore and even when there was grass it was hard to maintain because of all the dogs. My dog loves going here and I can let it off leash and it runs around like crazy. Some of the people don't like coming in the morning because there are several dog walkers that bring at least 10 dogs each. I actually like coming here because my dog loves interacting with all the other dogs. And the dog walkers happen to be very responsible dog walkers and I've never had a problem with them.My dog gets so excited he starts whimpering in the car on the way up here. Great way for your dog to burn off steam and have and be calm and tired out when he gets home!

Giset Gonzalez: Very nice and clean

Raviv Bareket: All dust

Craig Ferguson: Good park. Doggo loved it.

David Castillo: Our dog loves this park! We highly recommend

Juanita Heieck: Too many dogs at certain times of the day, because dog-walkers bring all their charges, so the ratio of person to dog not good. Other than that great park.Dog-friendliness: It's a dog park strictly

Mike: This is a great park to relax and see a lot of different birds. Dog friendly and has a gated play pin for your pets to play in.

Adrian Powell: Great dog park. Dogssuppliesrus was set up there. I was able to get some amazing items. The harnesses took my breathe away. And their online. Meet a dog date for my pooch. Loved everything. Very dog friendly park. Plenty of dogs to socialize your dogs. People do a good job clean after their dogs. Clean park. Just a very pleasant experience. But the harnesses made my day. If u own a dog Google them you definitely will be in love. Even on the grassy areas nice and nice. Clean amenities as well.

Santiago Hernandez: Came on Tuesday about 1pm, only one other dog here. We were able to let our dog roam around as she is a bit skiddish. The big tree in the middle provides shade with a few benches. Some people didn't pick up after their dogs and some graffiti. A couple of water bowls with water fountain. There's a sign warning of coyotes. Few homeless people are behind one of the fences. In the back of the park so might be missed if you are not looking for it. Decent dog park but could see it dropping if not maintained.

Whale Biologist: Very clean and friendly dogs

Sam Menke: Cute little spot, not too busy, good gates, 2 separate areas and some nice trees/benches/spare tennis balls lying around. I’ll be back!

Edmond H: Nice hidden park with nice pet owners. Needs more shade areas and more water bowls for the pups there.

Jose Higuera (Joe On the Go): Playground: There are obstacle course items to train your dog.Dog-friendliness: The other dogs that visit are very friendly.

R c: It has two areas, one for the bigger dogs and one for smaller dogs. After letting my dog run for a minute I like to walk around the park, there are a few other people with their dogs, which allows me to train my dog to not stay excited when he sees other dogs. There is also a bike route that you can walk your dog on if you would like.

Royer Emmanuelle: calm, peaceful, pleasant. I went to see softball

Josephine Anderson: Great dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs. There is a water fountain and limited shady area. There is no grass and the small dog park could use a bit of activities as the larger area has activities for jumping and running through.I would not recommend this dog park for nighttime because I didn’t see any lighting and you have to park your car either near the entrance or walk-through the Arroyo park in order to enter. All in all, this is a great dog park and park in general. Perfect Josie went to exercise their dog before taking them out a long bike ride, which I will definitely be doing next time.

Michael Cohen: Great archery. Plenty of parking

Jessica Olsen: Playground: It’s right next to the parking lot so there’s adults walking through on their way to the restroom or tennis courts and the weight machines are weirdly placed right next to it, but otherwise great playground for toddlers or ages 2-5

Noel Herrera: Great place

steve newquist: Walk it off man !

rick paganini: Always clean, always pleasant 👍🏻👌🏻

Thatcher Michelsen: Cappuccino Dog loves this park. Probably because There’s always lots of available tennis balls 🎾

Damion Jackson: I only go here to play Basketball

Lisette Kramer: some homeless, needs to be cleaned.

Buckets BobRoss: who we’ve met have been lovely. Can’t say the same thing about other dog parks on the west side.

Jenny Chavez: Nice park. Dog park, jog, exercise,

Matt Salomon: The best dog park all around in the area. Conveniently split into small and large dog parks.

Jacob Brewer: Good size, mainly dirt, worth going every time! Small dog are, and large dog area, but most owners go to large. Parking is for the whole park, so it’s a small walk to the dog section. I recommend bringing your own water. Not much shade if it’s really hot and sunny, so I’ll remember to plan accordingly in the middle of summer. Restrooms are elsewhere in the park buildings.Restrooms: I did not see any restrooms near the dog park. Need to go by the athletic fields, into the library, or somewhere else.Dog-friendliness: Dog-friendliness is typically good, just know your own dog. My dog doesn’t like German Shepards, but my black lab was the biggest dog there when I went.

Charli Li (Charli): Well maintained.

Jesse Leal: Love this place but it gets really crowded on a Sunny day. We need more Dog Park's the San Gabriel Valley. A lot of people have not been cleaning up after their pet's because they are deep in conversation but please try not to forget. I had to have designated, "Dog Park Shoes" lol

Patty Guzman: I enjoy taking my small dog to this park. Since small.dogs and big dogs are separated. People are also nice.

Liz Ellis: This is a big open space that tends to have plenty of parking, decent humans, and lovely dogs. The only weird thing is that it’s totally closed on Tuesdays, which just takes it out of the staple category. I never default to going there because I’ve forgotten and been burned so many times.

Shanna Hulme: Separate small dog and big dog play areas. Some shade trees and a few benches. I'm not sure who does it, maybe just some really nice people, but there are typically toys spread around for the pups to play with.At the entrance is a traditional park for kids with a play structure, picnic tables and restrooms. There's also a walking path albeit a bit small.Playground: A couple of large shades structures.Restrooms: Clean.Picnic area: Several tables under a pavilion.

Alex Kim: Great dog parks. Two separate dog parks for small dogs and larger dogs. Decent grass and shade plus water fountains. Double gated. Poop bags provided.

Aaron: Good park, clean and pretty quiet overall. There’s also a dog park next-door to the playground equipment and my daughter loves looking at and petting the dogs sometimes, when it’s OK with the owners.

Alvin Luu: Playground: Great playground for dogs, they even separate it by sizes. If you have a small dog you can go to the small dog section and then there's the big dogs section. I guess you're out of luck if you have a medium or extra large dog. So far, I haven't had a bad experience everyone gets along well. Don't forget to pick up after your dogs though. It is a dirt playground, it'll get dusty and dirty fast. carly reinhart: leash free dog park with a separate area for dogs that don't get along well with other dawgs. bueno

Analia Powell: What an awesome dog park! I love the fact they have a small//special needs area and a large dog are, both of which are large, securely fenced, have shade, water and plenty of grass to romp.
