Here you can find such amazing wares, from the must-have kitchenware items of proper knives and cookware, to tea sets and sake drinkware, to Japanese BBQ gear and kitchen organizing items. I have had my knife sharpened here--the attention and care that the proprietor gives to my knife keeps me coming back, and very excited to recommend to you to use his services, but also to explore this wondrous shop. There are fewer stores like this nowadays, with people shopping online constantly. You cannot beat the excellence of this store, being able to walk in and be greeted so warmly by this family and staff, and then get to see in person all the specialties Hitachiya brings in from Japan. Lucia: is everything you would need or can imagine you need to shop for your Asian kitchen! They carry the highest quality items; including artisan quality knives made by Masa himself; a 60 year master of making knives! It’s a gem of a place like no other! Thank you Masa for the best experience in learning the art of a well made knife! Side note as a big plus-There is a well stocked Asian grocery store next door too!
Cole: It's been a couple months since I've visited, but I feel obligated to talk about this wonderful shop.After a disappointing visit at a different knife shop, this was a night and day difference.A small but well put together shop with some of the best customer service I've had in a long time. One of the owners was kind enough to spend the time and go through almost a dozen knives with me that he had in stock. Thanks to him, I narrowed it down to a beautiful Damascus Gokaden Santoku with the perfect handle for my hand. The gentleman behind the counter even went out of his way to help me get the knife shipped back up to Oregon where I live and get it home safely. I can't recommend this store enough.

litolhoku: Went here to look for a knife to gift. The owner helped me and he was so helpful! I had no idea the differences between knives so I asked for an all purpose knife between the $150-200 range and he gave me so many options to choose from. Just ordered a few more from their website!

Cody Bailey: I like the shop. Came in after I called. They had a shun fillet knife I wanted to get for a friend. The owner came in shortly after I was in there. Talked about a few options. Just wished he could have came down just a little on price. I realize he has to make money and run a local business. Wasn’t entirely upset. But anyway he had what I was looking for and decided to pick it up. Not going to get crazy over a $150 knife. I buy end knives in the 2k range. Anyway if I need another kitchen knife I’ll come through again. Besides that they seem like nice people over there. Thanks!!

Michael Zand: Larry's Shaver Shop is an institution that has been around for almost thirty years and In these days of fading small businesses, It's always reassuring to know that they're still there. Though, I don't have reason to frequent them often, they've always been aces in taking care of my shaving and cutlery needs. Local businesses like these are rare and must be supported.
Rob Hesse: I am surprised there are so few reviews. This is a great small local shop for knives, scissors, sharpening, grooming supplies, and more. I have been coming here for years, mostly for Benchmade knives. They also have good kitchen blades. I either pick up something from the case, or order and pick up something else. Today Im picking up a Spyderco I specially ordered last week. This shop and the dry cleaner next door are the same family and I like them so much to bring my business to them again and again. I support local businesses and only order online if its the last and option. You will like Larry's. Give it a try and write a review. You can get your clothes cleaned next door too.
