I got my Nikon f3 fixed with him. He has a great character and is fun to talk. He is very experienced in the realm of film cameras. I had a great time talking to him about my cameras and the lenses I have for them. He fixed my camera up perfectly and gave me a 6 month warranty. I would highly recommend anyone looking to fix their film cameras whether it's a 35mm or medium format or rangefinder. He's a very fun guy. Going to for any problems I have with my cameras or lenses in the future. 👍😃 Side note like some of the reviews say he does talk about some sensitive topics but you listen to what you want and keep out what you don't. But he is a very nice and friendly guy.

    Steven Crisp: I was in need of a new repair person for mostly old view camera lenses. I gave Ross a try and he CLA’d them all. He also fixed a non-functioning shutter on a Rollie 35. I will use him again. He was very courteous, we didn’t talk politics. Or religion. Neither discussion is something I seek out in a camera repair person. He was interesting and obviously knowledgeable. I don’t know about the prior one star rating on how hard it is to find him. The Garmin nailed it and I parked out front. That didn’t test my navigation skills. He does live and work in a classic LA bungalow walk-up.

I read some interesting reviews online and didn’t know what to expect.My camera would need many things done to it before it could be operational again but I was hopeful.This small business is out of the owners home. The owner is very polite and friendly. His wife is a sweet lady that gave me a nice little bag of dried fruit she made.The owner has many old film cameras and stated he could work on all none autofocus film cameras. If your looking for an old camera or lens, he also sells them. He’ll let you play with some of his collection to try them out.I left my camera and in five days, he called and it was ready.I returned and wow, he fixed and did all the maintenance my camera needed. It was a little pricey but you get what you pay for.I would suggest this business to anyone wanting to fix or buy old film cameras.Also, I read in previous reviews that the owner has some interesting things he talks about that could be offensive to some. Well, with all things in life, you listen, keep what you want in and keep out what you don’t.

    David Kargadze: This guy is the best!He fixed my camera, explained it to me and told me what the problem was, and he is also very pleasant to talk to and a great professional in his field. I recommend!

    Kyle Marsh: Dean is incredible. When I dropped by on Monday he was finishing up with another customer and his deep knowledge of the cameras he works with came through in the questions he asked. When I handed him my camera he immediately started going through a hands-on diagnostic specific for this model and explained both what he was doing and what it was telling him. He put the camera in a probe shutter test rig and showed me exactly how much the shutter speeds diverged from nominal. He showed me how to manually actuate the aperture in the lenses and told me what he was looking and listening for as he manipulated them. In the end he gave back one of my lenses that didn't need any work, quoted me for servicing the camera body, and called me the next day to tell me what the other lens needed and what it would cost. I picked everything back up on Friday and he walked me through the repairs and even told me how to test if a lens needs a focus adjustment at home. I highly recommend Dean for servicing and repairing old camera equipment.

    obi njaka: I dropped my vintage sony TRV camcorder off here, it was over an hour drive away from me and i thought all of the time and money i spent would not be worth it in the end. However, Dean did an excellent job at fixing my camera, even better than it’s previous form. I had a broken cassette loader and an error code and even though parts were hard to source for this camera, he fixed it for a great price. I am so happy i was suggested this place and Dean takes pride in his work and handles customers very well. Worth the drive there and back, i would do it again!

    Laura Lawrence: Just received my camera back from repair and I'm very happy with it. You guys did a great job on it, and sending it back here to Kansas. There was a lack of communication, but I just called and asked about my order and they told me. Took about 3 weeks from sending the camera off and receiving it back. I would recommend Eric's Camera Repair. Camera is working better than I expected.

    Tommy Lentine: My honest opinion, I disregarded most of the negative reviews as they are from impatient people that do not live nearby and decided to go with this business for the repair. My 1999 Sony handycam had video head issues, brought it in told them exactly what was wrong and they had it fixed in about a week and a half no questions asked. It works perfectly now and I’ve been testing out all day to make sure there’s no defects. So far so good. They charged me a very fair price compared to other repair shops that were further away with higher prices. If you live in the San Fernando valley and are willing to bring it in to them in person, this would be the place to go! So far I’m extremely happy with the service they provided and can continue to be worry free with the 90 day repair warranty they provide on top. Thank you guys!!!!

    JC Torres: At first I was skeptic about sending my camera here for repair since I saw a lot of mixed reviews plus I’m in the East coast, but I was wrong. Not only did they fix my camera and made it like new but they did it in less than a month and even gave me a first time customer discount afterwards. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is due to communication. It sometimes took up to 3 days to get a simple reply on the status of my camera forcing me to call personally but the guy I spoke to was very professional and insured me of my cameras repair and time frame. I’m no longer a skeptic on this place. But I would try to find a place in the east coast for faster shipping purposes not due to there work.

I never spoke or contacted them but they did a tremendous job on my camera and did it FAST! Had my unit back in 5 business days and camera was packaged well and returned fixed and fully cleaned.
