From the moment we stepped inside, we noticed how impeccably clean and well-maintained the facility was. The attention to cleanliness was definitely a positive aspect that caught our attention immediately. However, what truly stood out to us was the genuinely friendly and welcoming staff we encountered throughout our tour. During our visit, we had the chance to meet some of the residents during an afternoon game of bingo. It was heartwarming to witness these folks actively engaging with us and initiating conversations. They didn't hesitate to express their love for living here, which spoke volumes about the positive atmosphere and sense of community that we are looking for. The facility managed to meet and even surpass our expectations. However, they do not have a pool on the premises, which my father requires for his aquatic therapy. While this was disappointing for us, we understand that it can be challenging for any facility to offer every amenity or service that suits every individual's needs. If your experience of finding that perfect home for your loved one has been challenging as we have had, you should tour Terazza as it’s a place that can significantly narrow your search. The cleanliness, friendly staff, and positive resident testimonials create an environment that feels like a true home away from home. Although the lack of a pool may be a drawback for some, I would highly recommend taking a tour yourself. Good luck.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, I knew we had stumbled upon something special. The level of professionalism and the warm welcome we received were truly commendable. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a genuine smile from Tony at reception and a personalized message on their large television screen. It immediately set the tone for a positive and uplifting experience. The attention to detail in creating a personalized and inviting atmosphere was evident right from the start. Our tour guide and director, Robin, conducted the visit with exemplary knowledge and enthusiasm. She took the time to understand our specific needs and answered every question with patience and clarity. Her thoroughness in showcasing the various aspects of the facility impressed us greatly. During our tour, we had the pleasure of witnessing residents actively engaged in arts and crafts as well as participating in games. It was heartwarming to see the staff encouraging and supporting their residents' individual interests and passions. The model rooms we explored were exceptionally clean. It was evident that Terezza takes great pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and comfort for their residents. The outdoor space is quaint and a great place for my mother to read a book. I liked the movie room especially as my mother loves to go to the movies. The menu looked reasonable and enjoyable. The room appeared enough to be comfortable. I liked that it is pet friendly so my mother could bring her dog with her. It’s right off a busy street but as soon as you turn on the street you have a very different feel with lots of trees. This facility is in a very nice neighborhood. I really loved it.

She strives to make everyone feel included and to provide stimulating activities . It’s a lovely setting and there’s a good variety of levels of resident abilities and needs . This is essential because mom needs the camaraderie of other residents at her level to attend classes with, and just to have stimulating dinner conversation. The rooms are lovely and clean and modern. The place is cheerful and bright and well cared for. After exploring many options, I’m glad we chose this senior residence for mom.

    Bonnie Sanders: When I was looking to have my husband transition from a skilled nursing facility to an assisted living situation, I initially ruled out Terazza of Cheviot Hills because finding one in Santa Monica made the most logistical sense. I explored a few nice facilities there, but because the pictures on Terrazzo’s website looked so inviting, I followed through to the next step and my daughter, who lives nearby, and I scheduled a tour. Pleasant music greeted us in the lobby as we signed in. As Terese took us through the various rooms, of this small, homey facility we were impressed by the warmth that surrounded us from not only the physical facility, which was well-maintained, but from the friendliness of the staff, many of whom have been there a long time.In the lovely dining room we spoke to a few of the residents and they all gave Terazza a thumbs up, but what won us over big-time was that Terazza has a wonderful group of in-house physical and occupational therapists and therapy was a primary requirement for my husband. He has been at Terazza for a couple of months now and his improvement is more than heartening. Kudos to this group of talented, caring therapists.I visit my husband often and love the proximity to the freeway and the ease of parking. I have also eaten several meals with my husband and the menus are varied, the dining room staff are flexible and friendly. I highly recommend this cozy gem.
