South Bay Archery Lessons is an indoor archery range in Redondo Beach offering archery classes for beginners, as well as seasoned archers.
Although bows and arrows have been around for about 64,000 years, comprehensive lessons provide a sound basis for the sport of archery. Anyone can just grab a bow and arrow and shoot. But everything is better when people learn how and why it all works while they develop the correct skills necessary to have fun, to compete, or simply to grow.
We offer the following private session options. We do not offer pre-defined group options for new students and all sessions are by private appointment only.

Additionally, we have other program options, though most become available to students only after the first few successful private sessions and are based on safety during private sessions.

Led by Coach Paul and Coach Lani these two coaches have developed a program and a system that is safe, educational, never ending challenges, and loads of fun. Their big personalities are hidden in the shadow of their vast amount of knowledge for the sport from technique to working with ones own anatomical structures. They also offer open shooting on a regular basis that allows some to come and hone their skills. If you are considering archery in anyway shape or form, this is the place to begin your journey.

1nonlyGreekGod: About the Coach:Other than the obvious facts that Coach Paul is a Level-4 trainer, experienced, and patient; what I liked about training with Paul is his optimistic affirmative criticism. Without any mockery, he deliveries the feedback using constructive verbiage that keeps up the morale in the trainee. His choice of examples, words, is sure uplifting. He is a good conversationalist, too.About the facility:It is spacious & quiet inside. And has got its own parking outside. The location certainly is safe to park the vehicles outside without any concern.And, as other reviews stated, there sure are factors like affordability and a wide range of practice equipment for rental that makes this place appealing and convenient.

Was so cool to see everyone gradually improve throughout the lesson! Went for my brother who was a natural at archery and had a great time. He even hit a “Robbin hood” so cool. Thank you!

I shoot a compound and use his tips every time I shoot. I absolutely recommend private lessons for anyone serious about improving their archery abilities whether it be with recurve or compound bow.

James Leight: We brought our scout troop for a group lesson of about 13 persons. Coach Paul and Coach Lani are outstanding. I learned more in the one lesson than I had ever about archery skills. Paul and Lani are very positive and excellent teachers. Their facility is really set up well. It was a great experience and I am hoping that my scouts who want to learn more and improve their shooting will sign up for lessons. An outstanding place to start and improve your archery skills with a great bunch of people.
Mo Mo: My daughter is 8yrs old and had a great first lesson with Paul. She loved it. Says Paul is a nice and kind, funny and caring guy. He was very patient and always in a great mood. We made another appointment to continue lessons immediately. I highly recommend this place!
