Myra Lasch: This is the best company I have ever had an experience with!!! Manny is wonderful. I have a 120 gallon reef tank with 19 year old fish. Years ago I purchased my third chiller artica 1/4 hp. The chiller which was not working properly started working so I never opened up the new chiller. Finally the second chiller was not functioning so I opened up the new chiller. Never sent in the warranty which has expired anyway. The new chiller was not working at all. I called my retailer for suggestions and they recommended calling JBJ. I had no hopes that they could help since I have had bad experiences with enterprises in the past. I called, spoke with Manny and he gave me some things to trouble shoot the chiller but it still didn't work. I sent in pictures of the unused chiller and filled out the warranty. They replaced the chiller which I don't need to tell you how much they cost. I sent the unused new chiller back. If I could rate this company 10 or more stars I would. There is a company which stands behind their product and actually does help and doesn't lie.Best experience I have had with a large enterprise.Thank you Manny, you actually do try to make a difference. There should be more people like you
Rick Barboza: We have been purchasing wholesale inventory for many years. There commercial line of chillers have a great track record. The smaller lines are quiet in a residential setting. Keep both style of units vented and blow out the condensers regularly.I also like the styling and functionality of the small tanks. Work great for reefs and planted tanks.Appreciate their professionalism.

Kayle Khanmohamed: absolutely killer LFS! very knowledgeable and very well-stocked with great items. flora & fauna are clearly thriving and gorgeous, and the hardscape they sell here is stunning. equipment and range of plants look fantastic - you can see they’re in great shape from the insane pearling. some style & guide books available as well that are super helpful + some beautiful tanks and terrariums.highly recommend! owner knows what he’s doing and is helpful to share information!
Josephine Wang: 11/10 Amazing shop and owner - The owner is a super sweet man, really helpful in giving you advice on what you need for your aquarium. He had the chance to sell me some sand that I thought I needed, but he told me to put it back. He is genuinely passionate about his aquariums and I plan on getting all the supplies I need from him.
Kilo: Awesome aquascaping store! One of the very few places that carries the ADA line. They also have UNS and a few other brands. They have a nice selection of tissue cultures in stock usually and a good selection of emeresed potted plants. Hardscape wise they have a decent selection of stones and driftwood. The live stock selection here is solid, all kinds of nano and community fish for planted tanks. Highly recommend anyone in the planted tank hobby make a visit, definitely worth the visit.
Emma Daly: I buy my fish food, aquarium supplies, and aquatic plants here. The owner is always so knowledgeable and friendly. I was impressed when he remembered specific conversations he and my boyfriend had had years earlier. His aquascaping tanks are works of art and worth checking out!

I have NEVER been denied or hassled about a claim. 99% of my order is always well packed an in great condition. They also call me and let me know about out of stocks and other issues. In short, if you're in the fish and coral game and you want a supplier that has your back, look no further.

Frank Padilla: I found this gem in Compton. Made me get right back Into the hobby, after a brief break due to relocating.. but Ellis is the place the owner and the other guy are awesome and knowledgeable.. selection, they have so many Coral to choose from at incredible price. They have bogos buy 3 for 25 and so so on.. the salt water they sell and bottle is of absolute best parameters for your aquarium. They make it easy for you to own and enjoy your lil peace of the reef. This is the only shop I would recommend to any marine aquarist.
Max Bouvrie: Awesome shop. Best deals on frags in Los Angeles. Extensive merchandise too. They have damn near everything for a reef tank. Full bright well line up, two little fishes products, plumbing materials, really high end salt mixes. I’d say the best salt water speciality store I’ve been to. The owner is super knowledgeable. When I came in he was instructing a customer on dosing trace elements with a bunch of paper work. Not sure I’ve ever seen that in a store before. They also have a Hanna checker for pretty much everything you could think of. They test in store for a reasonable rate with the Hanna checkers. Just make sure you specify that you want a Hanna test. I got two sizeable acro frags for $20-25$ each.Once again, not sure you’d find that anywhere else in the city. I think this place will probably become my main shop from now on. They also have live copepod mixes with phytoplankton. Much more diverse colony then you will find in the reef nutrition bottles.
